Technology take-over · 2009-05-26
Lenzing Instruments GmbH & Co. KG, Austrian producer of testing equipment, and the German fibre institute FIBRE have entered into an agreement, in which Lenzing Instruments has taken over the rights for production and sales of a system for analysis of the fibre orientation of nonwoven webs, NOS 200.
The objective of the technology transfer is to make the new fibre analysis system accessible to nonwoven producers worldwide, thereby deriving advantage from Lenzing Instruments know-how on the field of image processing as well as their already existing network of contacts within the nonwovens industry and their distribution network.
NOS 200 is used for the inspection of nonwoven webs as well as for the process control of nonwoven production lines by means of fast CCD-cameras and image evaluation. The system gives real-time feedback on the fibre orientation of the nonwoven web, thereby gaining valuable information about the strength of the nonwoven material along and across the web.
The Austrian testing company Lenzing Instruments GmbH & Co. KG, offers a wide product range of quality control equipment, designed for the special needs of producers of filament, fibres, nonwovens and plastic films.
The company develops, manufactures and markets testing equipment for laboratory use, at-line use close by the production as well as online systems.
FIBRE, Faserinstitut Bremen is a scientific organisation at the University of Bremen, which performs R&D in the fields of testing and processing of fibres and the development of textile semi-products and fibre-reinforced composites. FIBRE works on fundamental and applied R&D in the fields of fibres, textiles and material science. In the field of fibres FIBRE is specialised on the testing of fibres, and checking, adapting and developing testing methods.
Swiss sensor technology incorporated with Lenzing Instruments · 2009-05-15
With effect from April 2009, Lenzing Instruments GmbH & Co. KG, Austrian producer of testing equipment, has the exclusive and global licence to sell PROMPT-ATQ, an online sensor system for monitoring of the yarn tension during the air texturizing process.
The agreement between Lenzing Instruments and the Swiss company RETECH AG was entered with the aim of increasing the existing market coverage by taking advantage of Lenzing Instruments wide network of potential customers and distributors as well as their competence of online monitoring.
The new collaboration combines the expertise of these two innovative companies in an ideal manner.
PROMPT-ATQ is a valuable tool for producers of air texturized yarn; giving feedback about the real time status of the texturizing process by measuring the absolute yarn tension. The received feedback gives the operator possibility to react to problems such as dirty nozzle, defect yarn guides, faulty temperature of the heater, missing fancy yarn etc. PROMPT ATQ is a chemical resistant and robust system, which consists of a number of Hall effect sensors and a control panel. Emphasis has been put on simplicity and results evaluation with no need for expert personnel.
Lenzing Instruments GmbH & Co. KG offers a wide product range of quality control equipment, designed for the special needs of producers of filaments, fibers, nonwovens and plastic films.
The company develops, manufactures and markets testing equipment for laboratory use, at-line use close by the production as well as online systems.
RETECH AG is a manufacturer of high efficient mechanical and electronical components for textile machinery. Apart from the tension sensors, RETECH AG also develops and produces heated godets with measuring- and control systems, customised draw units and yarn finishing of synthetic yarns.
Cooperation between LENZING INSTRUMENTS and ECO-MESS · 2008-06-19
LENZING INSTRUMENTS has taken over world wide sales and service for the water permeability tester GE-TE-FLOW from ECO-MESS, a company located in Illmenau/Germany. ECO-MESS has developed the GE-TE-FLOW Permeameter, which is a fully automatic, computer-controlled instrument for testing the water permeability of geotextiles and related materials. The instrument has already been tried and approved in industrial production and public test laboratories.
The GE-TE-FLOW permeability tester fits best to the product portfolio of LENZING INSTRUMENTS product range for nonwovens applications.
ECO-MESS was founded in 1994. Scope of product is complete analytical systems and consumables as well as accessories for analysers and industrial plants.
LENZING INSTRUMENTS and ECO-MESS will continue and intensify their cooperation.
Cooperation between LENZING INSTRUMENTS and HONIGMANN · 2008-06-19
With the effect of July 2007, LENZING INSTRUMENTS has taken over the exclusive right for sales and service of three filament testing instruments from HONIGMANN/Germany.
The three testing instruments are:
- μ-Meter, which is a precision friction measurement on fibers and yarns
- AT 500 Abrasion Tester, which is a testing device for abrasion measurement along the length of the yarn
- PPT 100 Package Performance Tester, which determines the rewinding characteristics of yarns from a bobbin core.
HONIGMANN, located in Wuppertal/Germany, expertise in sensor technology and testing instruments is reflected in more than 50 years of innovative performance.
The formed long-term cooperation between LENZING INSTRUMENTS and HONIGMANN offers current and future customers a leading-edge testing technology and worldwide service.
