LENZING INSTRUMENTS takes over NONWOVENS INSPECTION SYSTEM from MASSEN
With effect of May 2006, LENZING INSTRUMENTS / Austria has taken over the proven NONWOVENS INSPECTOR from MASSEN / Germany.
For approximately 40 years LENZING INSTRUMENTS has successfully been developing and supplying testing instruments for the fiber, textile and nonwovens industry. Starting from laboratory testing instruments to online process monitoring systems, well proven technology is offered for the nonwovens industry.
With the NONWOVENS INSPECTOR, representing the latest inspection technology, LENZING INSTRUMENTS completes the product range with a proven online process monitoring solution.
This online inspection of nonwovens of any type of fibers is based on high resolution digital cameras and lighting. Evaluation is effected by special image processing software via ultra-fast clustered PCs. The system detects, holes, dirt, contamination, web width, thickness, density, streaks, wrinkles, light spots, dark spots, thin and thick spots, homogeneity. It thus fulfils two tasks at the same time: detection of local aesthetic and physical defects and monitoring of the stability of the production process.
LENZING INSTRUMENTS was founded in 1965 and started its business with the production of tensile and fineness testing equipment for staple fibres. In the following years a wide range of quality testing instruments for staple fibres and filament yarns has been developed. A new field of activity is the online monitoring (OLM) for the production of fibers and filament yarns.
MASSEN was founded in 1988 and has developed a leading position in the in-line surface inspection of complex pattern surfaces such as multi coloured floorings (ceramic tiles, laminate panels, etc…). Massen is strategically focussing its activities on coloured surface inspection and is therefore pleased to transfer the Nonwovens Inspector to its long term partner LENZING INSTRUMENTS.
Due to this technological advantage LENZING INSTRUMENTS offers its customers another unique feature to compete in today’s market.
Additionally, LENZING INSTRUMENTS and MASSEN will continue and strengthen their long lasting cooperation.
